The prime minister of Sudan, Abdalla Hamdok has survived an assassination attempt in the capital city, Khartoum. The prime minster is unhurt in the attack. The identity of the attackers is not yet known, but the Information minister
The Reuters reported that the attacked occurred near the north-eastern entrance to Kober bridge that connects Khartoum to the North city center, where the PM’s office is located.
Information Minister Faisal Salih said investigations is underway, “ terrorist attempts and dismantling the old regime will be dealt with decisively” he added.
“Terrorist attempts and dismantling the old regime will be dealt with decisively,” Reuters quoted him as saying.
The Sundanese Sovereign Council composed of six civilians and five military officers appointed Mr Hamdok in August. Since then his government has faced resistance as it attempted to make an economic reform.
